Work like a Horse
In the summer of 2014 we started a very special project: Work Like a Horse. At the request of the Mayor of Rotterdam, Ahmed Aboutaleb, we started planning an activity for children living in challenging areas in Rotterdam who often do not leave their neighborhoods during the summer holidays. ‘Work Like a Horse, School Vacation Program’ was the result. Since 2014, we welcomed more than 600 primary school children (ages 6 to 12) to our Summer School Project, showing them that if you work like a horse, you can accomplish a lot.
Partly due to the success of the Work Like a Horse’s School Vacation Program, from 2014 onwards we have been expanding our activities: There are now projects for children from challenging neighborhoods, children with cancer, children with special education needs, children with autism, children in care shelter and children that require youth care. More information about the projects can be found here.
All our projects are made possible by voluntary contributions. Yours is more than welcome!
